52N Routing Framework

Nowadays, routing components have become widely-used due to the proliferation of navigation systems and route planning software. Normally, the user is transparent in those systems, which means that the individual properties and the individual preferences of the user are excluded from the route calculation. However, if the user cannot use specific parts of the network, transparancy is difficult because in this case it is not guaranteed that a calculated route is appropriable for the user. In order to be able to take individual properties into account, a user-specific routing was developed. The user-specific routing functionality was implemented in a framework which can be adapted for different use cases. As the first application, which uses the framework a system was developed which enables a user-specific routing on forest tracks.
